Ms. Hannah Mae N. Del Rosario, HR supervisor, organized the orientation to educate the officers and employees of the hotel on the concepts of workplace cooperation and grievance management in the workplace.
RCMB IV-B Director Lourdes P. Estioco introduced to the participants the programs and services of NCMB. She focused her discussion on the concept of workplace cooperation program. She highlighted the benefits of LMC for both management and workers in her presentation. “Genuine teamwork and commitment are the key factors to sustain harmonious relations in the workplace,” Estioco said.
The topic on grievance management was presented by Administrative Officer III Renato Q. Fajardo, who emphasized the need for grievance machinery to address complaints or issues in the workplace.
Mr. Elcer R. Cuenca, the operations manager, thanked the branch for this seminar and said that this will enhance their existing collaboration programs. “Most of the action committees are in place, what we need now is to formalize our LMC structure,” he added.
The RCMB IV-B team also took time to visit Budget Home Depot after the activity in Hotel Centro.
The team had a fruitful discussion with Ms. Elnora D. Peria and two other officers of the store.
At the informal meeting, Estioco discussed the DOLE Convergence of Programs and the ideal LMC structure. Upon her suggestion, the store representatives agreed to formalize their LMC structure and to submit the names of its officers.
Ms. Peria thanked the team at the conclusion of the meeting. “We are now expanding to serve our customers better, and we need more of your support to educate our workers through your labor education seminars,” she said.
