BEST LMC PRACTICES WINNERS IN REGION XII ANNOUNCED DURING 5TH REGIONAL CONVENTION OF INDUSTRIAL PEACE ADVOCATES

General Santos City – The Regional Conciliation and Mediation Branch XII announced the winners for the Best LMC Practices during the 5th Regional Convention of Industrial Peace Advocates on November 17-18, 2016 at the Phela Grande Convention Center in General Santos City.
“Several companies participated in the search but the chosen winners stood out in their respective categories,” RCMB XII OIC Director Gerie D. Lampitco said.
Dolefil-Kaugnay of DOLE Philippines, Inc. won in Agri-Business Sector Pineapple-Industry Organized Category. Energy Development Corporation Labor Management Council for the Renewable Energy Industry, Organized Category, Kapatiran LMC DOLE Phils. Inc., Upper Valley Operations won for the Renewable Energy Industry, unorganized Category, and DOLE Stanfilco Labor management Council DOLE Stanfilco, North Cotabato Zone for the Banana industry organized category.
The 5th Regional Convention of Industrial Peace Advocates carried the theme “Industrial Peace Advocates: Enhancing Labor Relations as Partners for Change” with the convention focusing on the government’s campaign against illegitimate contractualization or ENDO.
“I applaud your chosen theme, indeed, you are all our partners for change and in sustaining industrial harmony”, Pascual said in her message read by RCMB XII OIC-Director Gerie D. Lampitco.
Pascual challenged the LMC advocates to become catalysts of change and innovate in the promotion of LMC programs. She encouraged the participants to take part of the capacity-building program on productivity, a partnership program of DOLE-NCMB, Temasek Foundation and Nanyang Polytechnic International-Singapore.
A total of 259 participants coming from 127 organized and unorganized companies in Region XII attended the 5th Regional Convention of Industrial Peace Advocates.
